Senator Tom Coburn's annual STI presentation to the incoming class of Capital Hill interns has been cancelled because arguments have ensued over who will pay for the pizza pies. The minimum age for a congressional page is 16. So 16 year old high school students are going to Washington to learn the ins and outs of goverment and they are getting STI instruction? I'm all in favor of 16 year olds getting proper instruction in STI issues. Not so sure that this makes sense though. But yes Dr. Coburn should pay the pie himself. No outside lobbying by big STI! Maybe Condomania should carry pizza flavored condoms?
Not only are Obama and McCain represented, but, more appropriately, so are Bill Clinton and John F. Kennedy. Sadly, they don’t protect against the hot air spewing from Bill O’Reilly and Keith Olbermann.
Okay so this site has been pretty static for about 4 months as we had a few technical issues which didn't rise to the top of the ole priority list. She was to get a first-hand experience of the AIDS capital of India. But, her visit to the shoddy sexual health museum in Nagpada in south central Mumbai turned out to be scary.
Reigning Miss Universe Zuleyka Rivera had to cancel the walk through Kamathipura to spread awareness on HIV/AIDS as the crowd went out of control.
Here's a link to a Hindustan Times article about Kamathipura. From reading how dire the place is to sexual health I'd wager they need a beauty queen hiking through the district handing out condoms pretty much every day.
We at Condomania tend to have a great deal of respect for Dr. Drew, his misunderstanding of condoms size notwithstanding, so none of us were surprised to learn of his newest initiative (that we are aware of): HPV Confidential.
HPV Confidential was created to arm adults who are, or have ever been, sexually active with information through confidential channels that respect their desire for privacy. If you or your partner have genital warts, or even think that you might, you’ve come to the right place. HPV Confidential reveals the need-to-know facts about genital warts, provides tools for making it easier to talk about this private disease with healthcare professionals and sexual partners, and can help identify the treatment option that’s right for you.
